Our company supports federal, commercial, and tribal clients with expert program management, construction oversight, and personnel services.
Position Overview
OMG is proactively seeking an experienced IT Program Manager to lead and oversee mission-critical IT programs supporting federal government operations, with preference for candidates who have supported or served within the Armed Forces. This position is in support of a contract and will be funded once awarded. This role is responsible for managing multiple IT projects under a unified program structure, ensuring alignment with contract requirements, operational objectives, and Department of Defense (DoD) standards.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, technical acumen, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams in a structured, compliance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT programs in support of federal and DoD initiatives
  • Oversee multiple projects, ensuring schedule, scope, cost, and performance objectives are met
  • Serve as the primary liaison between government stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual requirements, federal regulations, and DoD policies
  • Manage and mentor technical teams, including subcontractors, to maintain high performance and accountability
  • Develop and maintain program documentation, including status reports, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate resource allocation and ensure proper staffing across program efforts
  • Monitor program performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support audits, inspections, and reporting requirements as necessary
  • Travel occasionally to support program needs, stakeholder meetings, or site visits

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or a closely related field is strongly desire; A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of IT Program Management experience within a federal government environment is required
  • Prior experience supporting or working with the U.S. Armed Forces strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage complex IT programs and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong understanding of DoD IT environments, compliance standards, and security protocols is needed
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Approved Computing Environment Certification (e.g., Windows 10 or current DoD-directed certification)
  • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) � Windows 10
  • Demonstrated proficiency with and ability to remain current in:
    • Microsoft Operating Systems (including Windows 10 and successors)
    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • Adobe product suite
  • Ability to travel on an as needed basis both CONUS & OCONUS
  • An Active Secret Clearance is required
  • Requires an Active US Passport
  • Ability to adapt to evolving DoD-directed technologies and certification requirements

Preferred Qualifications
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
  • Experience managing contracts and subcontractors in a federal environment
  • Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
  • Prior experience in a government contracting environment within the El Paso regio
