Job description

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Program Manager to lead a team of engineers and technical staff supporting the OS/COMET commercial product. This role focuses on leading the development and modernization of Telemetry, Tracking & Command (TT&C) and Satellite Mission Planning and Scheduling systems, delivering Mission Management Integrated Solutions Tool Suite COTS Command & Control software for mission-critical government customers. We are seeking an individual with strong communication abilities and with very effective technical and team collaboration skills to help manage the existing programs and drive new license and maintenance sales.  The PM shall be the driving force in evolving the culture to drive and enable enhancements to our commercial product to support future growth pipeline needs while continuing on-contract growth for our existing programs.

What you'll do:

  • Serve as the primary interface to Government and Industry leadership, Contracting Officers, and senior mission stakeholders 
  • Maintain full accountability for program performance across cost, schedule, and technical execution 
  • Develops goals, budget, and strategic business plans.
  • Maintains market position of products by managing existing product lines and competitive market information.
  • Recommends ways to expand sales and profitability in specific markets.
  • Lead program financial management including forecasting, EACs, staffing strategy, and cost control 
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks across technical, operational, and financial domains 
  • Lead executive-level briefings, program management reviews (PMRs), and customer engagements 
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience as a supervisor, with preferred PM skills
  • 5-10 years with leading SW Management Experience
  • Experience leading teams delivering complex, scalable software systems
  • Experience and track record delivering capabilities to one of the following organizations: Department of War, NASA, NOAA, Intelligence Community, commercial company/org.
  • Strong background in software architecture, system design, and SDLC execution
  • Experience with cloud-based environments and modernization efforts
  • Experience in integrating COTS products with custom software solutions
  • Familiarity with Agile/DevSecOps methodologies and secure development practices
  • Strong communication skills with experience engaging technical teams and customer stakeholders
  • Active or ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
  • Ability to identify areas to improve and be open to change, and drive that change across the teams
  • Experience with capture and growth activities 
  • Experience with commercial products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting satellite systems, TT&C, or mission planning/scheduling environments, specifically with the OS/COMET commercial product
  • PMP, Agile, or technical leadership certifications
  • Familiarity with NASA,DOW, or IC mission systems and systems engineering processes
  • Experience with containerization (Kubernetes/OpenShift) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with cloud-native architecture and hybrid environments

Target Salary Range$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
