Overview:

At Vervent, the PMO Program Manager provides an effective mechanism for controlling the strategic, financial, and operational risks of a group of related projects and tickets. A program is a collection of projects and tickets that aim to achieve similar enterprise objectives. These projects and tickets come together in a way to achieve Vervent's business goals. The projects within a program are managed separately by project managers with different reporting structures. The goal of program management is to enable strategic execution by organizing people and teams across departments to work towards a shared purpose. Program management focuses on strategic planning, continuous improvement, and value realization. It ensures sets of projects are aligned to Vervent strategies and resources are optimized across the organization with minimal conflicts, delays, or budget issues. This position is Hybrid.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Create and maintain roadmaps to translate Vervent vision into PMO programmatic strategy
  • Develop and maintain program standards to be executed on the project and ticket level
  • Direct the organization and scheduling of projects and tickets
  • Oversee project teams as an escalation resource to ensure project goals are being met
  • Ensure direct reports adhere to standard operating procedures
  • Manage resource allocation and project-level change management
  • Oversee risk mitigation and interdependency resolution between projects and tickets within the program
  • Analyze program-level performance and suggest and implement improvements in time efficiency and cost savings
  • Serve as project management software administrator and optimize ePMO's use of that software

Requirements

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher or relevant experience
  • 3+ years experience in program or project management
  • 5-7 years experience in management of a team
  • Experience defining and executing against program requirements
  • Highly proficient in the use of Excel and Project Management tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present in a clear and concise manner to all levels within the organization
  • Results oriented person with a proven track record of on-time project/program delivery for large, cross-functional projects with global stakeholders
  • Demonstrated analytical skills; business trend analysis and forecasting
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects /responsibilities
  • Ability to think strategically, anticipate future trends, develop product roadmaps, and deliver on those plans


Physical Requirements:

The work is of an intellectual nature. While performing the functions of this job, the employee is required to stand and sit for prolonged periods. Specific vision abilities required include close and medium distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal sounds, distinguish sound as voice and communicate through human speech. This position requires the ability to operate a keyboard, computer mouse, telephone, fax, copier, writing tools, and other standard office equipment. On an occasion, an employee will be asked to lift items weighing up to 35 lbs.
