Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
Lloyd International Honors College provides outstanding undergraduate students with an enhanced and supportive intellectual and social experience that acculturates them to the life of the mind and helps them to become critical, independent thinkers who are active in the design and pursuit of their own education and prepared to lead successful and fulfilling professional, civic, and personal lives. Central to its Mission, the Honors College prepares its students for leadership in a growingly interdependent and inter-cultural world. Honors students are expected to have an international experience - usually completed by studying outside the United States for a semester or more - as part of their education at UNCG. The Honors College seeks to achieve its Mission by offering its students two distinct Honors programs - the Global Honors Program that allows students to get a customizable, experiential education with a global focus, and the Disciplinary Honors Program that allows students to do Honors work in their majors. The Honors College offers a variety of co-curricular and extracurricular opportunities to round out the Honors experience.
Position Summary
The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing advising for over 1500 students in both the Global and Disciplinary Honors tracks in Lloyd International Honors College (LIHC). Other duties include teaching, advising, mentoring, honors graduation and honors good standing clearances, student records management for Disciplinary Honors contracts and senior honors projects and Global Honors, pre-registration for incoming students, and SOAR coordination. The Program Manager will also carry out additional duties as delegated by the Assistant/Associate Dean to whom they report.

  • Master's Degree

  • Master's degree with a minimum of three years of teaching; or advising experience and two years of experience working with electronic databases is preferred.
