Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Manager, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering will lead and oversight his team on SWG, Busbar & IS, focused on Reynosa Operations leading product transfers, new product development programs, process improvements, capital projects to support Growth for the target sites and the standardization of manufacturing processes across Vertiv plants. This position will also coordinate the development and enforcement of global manufacturing standards and technology leadership. Interact directly with Design Engineering, Program Manager and Operations Team at the target site to coordinate and execute NPDI milestones and deliverables.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work closely with Line of Business Leaders to ensure manufacturing plans are aligned to Product Roadmaps.
  • Responsible for End of Line Testing Equipment, Parameters, scripts and Capex associated
  • Develop Advanced Manufacturing Engineers with a steadfast commitment to mentoring and leading from the front, responsible for team performance and growth.
  • Provide tactical leadership to ensure the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team will:
    • Develop and implement manufacturing plans for new products
    • Provide direct support for plant-to-plant product transfers and new product development programs.
    • Support Vertiv manufacturing operations using standard processes, equipment, and manufacturing methods.
    • Identify, justify, pilot, and commission Advanced Manufacturing technologies, processes, equipment, and practices. Capital projects that support Growth, NPDI, Product Transfers, Technical Capacity and Footprint associated
    • Provide support for manufactured cost analyses of new and existing products.
    • Responsible for the execution of Manufacturing Readiness Checklist and deliverables
    • Supports / Accountable for Manufacturing Prototype builds along with the local operation team
    • Implement best manufacturing practices for existing processes and provide multi-site manufacturing engineering support.
    • Assist with business-critical capital projects including facility planning, layout, and cost justification.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
  • BSME/IE/Business Operations Management and 10+ years manufacturing experience or equivalent demonstrated experience

Preferred
  • MSME/IE/MBA and 7+ years of Advanced Manufacturing experience
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma formal training or certifications.

Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of formalized Advanced and Lean Manufacturing applications.
  • Extensive experience in New Product Development and Product Transfers.
  • Excellent vertical communication, interpersonal, and motivation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively; ability to coach, train, facilitate and lead teams effectively in a transformational work environment.
  • Demonstrated strong project management and technical skills; analytical skills; PC skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results through team building and teamwork.
