The Advisor Trainee position is a temporary contract of up to six-months, designed as a unique opportunity to explore a rewarding career in financial advice. In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience, receive personalized coaching and access cutting-edge digital tools - while embarking on an exciting learning journey with meaningful opportunities for growth and development. This experience will help you build your confidence and business acumen, establishing a solid foundation for your future success as an advisor.

What will you do?

Work out of a local Sun Life District office
Gain knowledge of Sun Life products, tools, processes and practical skills working directly with Sun Life Clients
Obtain dual licensing in insurance and mutual fund
Gain experience handling inbound and outbound calls providing holistic life, health, and wealth solutions to new and existing Sun Life Clients
Complete business development activities and start to identify your personal market opportunities
Execute key activities in preparation for graduation from the program and launch of your advisor career
Your time will be split between working within Prospr advisor team (reporting to an ADP Sales Manager) and gaining exposure to the role of a standalone advisor (working with the local Sun Life District leadership team)


We are looking for someone who:

Has a history of achievements (professional, academic, athletics, etc.)
Has strong knowledge and passion of retail insurance and investment products
Is self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Enjoys engaging, developing and maintaining relationships with people
Has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Has the ability to motivate others to action
Has LLQP license or has completed all course/exam requirements (required)


Nice to have:

Mutual Fund License or course/exam completion
Demonstrated ability to motivate others to action
Business development skills
