Overview

This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, at Spirit’s Defense Business Unit (“Spirit Defense”). Spirit Defense is an independent supplier to the defense and space marketplace. Through innovative engineering and rapid prototyping excellence, Spirit Defense provides the capabilities, technologies and support customers need to succeed in their missions.


Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership for the establishment, oversight, and coordination of program activities necessary to successfully implement Baseline Control and Change Management (BCCM) processes and capabilities as part of the Program Management Office.  
  • Change Management/PCCB/CCB Coordinator  
  • Chair the Change Control Board (CCB) & Program Change Control Board (PCCB); establish agenda, meeting minutes andmanage change documentation 
  • Maintain program change control processes 
  • Establish and oversee change management processes to evaluate proposed change per the appropriate Configuration Change Authority 
  • Facilitating the Change Control Board (CCB) & Program Change Control Board (PCCB), including all necessary infrastructure, cadence, reporting, and documentation; coordinating major and minor change requests across the BCCM lifecycle (e.g. categorizing/logging CRs, coordinating change impact assessments and complete change packages, notifying/communicating PCCB status and decisions with all appropriate stakeholders); coordinating the program BCCM process; developing the program Change Management Plan; implementing, monitoring, and reporting standard change control metrics in support of the Program Manager (PCCB/CCB chair).  
  • Knowledge of contract requirements and change control practices for effective management of change; change request identification and disposition thresholds; customer, company, supplier, and regulatory requirements with the potential to impact program baselines. 
  • Ability to develop and audit compliance to change management plan and analyze change request data; select, define, and plan incorporation of approved changes. 
  • Create/analyze change control records; verify that documentation is compliant with applicable program and contractual requirements.  
  • Knowledge Skills and Abilities (in addition to the Spirit AeroSystems Leadership Fundamentals)- Business Acumen, Financial Acumen, Baseline Control / Change Management process acumen, Program Management processes (general knowledge), Engineering acumen (general), Leading with Influence
  • Work Experiences: Change Management, Risk Management, Affordability Management, Developing Proposals and Estimating, Matrix organization structures, Cross-functional project management 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years' related experience or a Master's Degree/MBA and 0+ years' related experience
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access (for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite of tools 
  • Must be proficient in written and verbal communication 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree required; degrees in Business Management, Finance or Supply Chain or other relevant course of study preferred. 
  • 4-6 years of professional experience pertaining to the responsibilities
  • Experience with Change Management, Risk Management, Affordability Management, Earned Value Management, Analytical Skills 
  • Development and/or sustaining program experience 
  • Experience developing proposals and estimates, operating in a matrix organization 
  • Experience with Integrated Program Planning and Scheduling, Cross functional project management 
  • Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, innovative behaviors and the ability to multi-task in a challenging environment 
  • Ability to analyze multiple sets of metrics and data reports from various systems 
  • Cross-functional coordination and leadership to achieve program goals 
  • Global Product Lifecycle Management (gPLM) application experience
  • SAP experience
  • Manufacturing environment or Aerospace experience
  • Experience in capital planning, facilities planning, non-labor planning, and/or workforce planning
  • Experience in capital approval process
