Overview Employment in this role is conditional upon successful execution of the contract by the client. The Work The Senior Program Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for highly complex, large-scale programs within the federal government contracting environment. This role entails ensuring successful program delivery while balancing client objectives, organizational resources, and compliance requirements. The Senior Program Manager serves as a trusted advisor to the client and leads multidisciplinary teams in achieving program objectives efficiently, effectively, and in full alignment with contractual and regulatory requirements. This position combines strategic planning, operational management, and technical expertise to address client challenges, deliver measurable results, and drive mission-critical goals. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities * Oversee the entire life cycle of federal programs, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout, in compliance with the client's requirements.
  • Translate organizational objectives, client requirements, and mission priorities into actionable program strategies, detailed schedules, and measurable performance metrics.
  • Ensure alignment across program activities, resource planning, and stakeholder expectations to meet critical deadlines and deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary interface with client stakeholders, fostering strong partnerships and ensuring alignment with agency goals.
  • Conduct regular status updates, briefings, and reviews with the client's program managers, and technical leads to maintain transparency and accountability.
  • Proactively identify and resolve program risks, challenges, and constraints, ensuring seamless execution of government contracts.
  • Effectively manage multidisciplinary teams, including direct employees, subcontractors, and consultants, ensuring optimal utilization of talent and resources.
  • Develop program work plans, detailed schedules, cost projections, and strategies for optimizing program performance.
  • Maintain program documentation, including deliverables, progress reports, change management actions, and quality assurance records.
  • Evaluate program risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans to protect schedule and budget.
  • Mentor and coach program team members, fostering professional growth and ensuring high performance.
  • Promote collaborative work environments that value accountability, innovation, and mission-focused outcomes.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of team performance with respect to KPI targets, SLA benchmarks, and client satisfaction metrics.
  • Implement continuous improvement methodologies to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications - Here's What You Need Master's degree or approved equivalent of experience.
  • Secret Security Clearance is required.
  • PMP Certification is required.
  • Four (4) to ten (10) years of experience with performing management duties, in IT or Cyber related mission supporting Government agencies.
Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment. Minimum Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner.
