As Finance Director, you'll lead pivotal members of a collaborative focused on meeting the unique needs of children and families! With your financial, accounting, and supervisory experience, you'll join us in helping leverage the strengths of your community as we work to help children, youth, and families! You'll be making a difference in a child's life and in your community! As Finance Director, you'll:
Supervise Finance Department staff: Direct day-to-day financial activities to be complete, accurate, and timely. Be responsible for the accounts receivable, payable, and payroll functions. Develop and maintain Finance Department priorities and plans. Complete in-depth financial analysis of Agency departments. Prepare financial management reports and submit for review/action. Provide guidance, support and coaching to further development of finance staff. Ensure all organizational financial activities are carried out in compliance with local, state and federal regulations and laws governing business operations. Travel to attend meetings, training, or conduct business off site. Must have a valid driver's license and meet agency underwriting standards if driving on agency business. Make a difference in the lives of children and families.
Your Qualifications are:
Supervisory experience is required. Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred. Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Minimum of two years' experience in general accounting. CPA license preferred.
Your PRESENTATION SKILLS are:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or Board of Finance Directors.
Your FINANCIAL/COMPUTATIVE SKILLS are:
Ability to read and interpret financial statements, budgets, audit reports, etc. Ability to perform basic mathematical operations such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentage, area, etc. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, and statistics. Familiarity with computers and their capabilities.
Your ANALYTICAL ABILITY is:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical, graph, chart or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
