Program Manager Overview
We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live a happy, meaningful life. As a Program Manager (PM) for a group home in North Falmouth, you will work alongside an Assistant Program Manager (APM), to oversee a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who care for three persons supported with varying needs. You will be responsible for leading by example through our core values: respect, integrity, innovation, compassion, accountability and perseverance. Ultimately, you gain the opportunity to practice and live out the traits of a Servant Leader by helping persons supported to pursue their dreams and find happiness in their homes, in their personal relationships and as contributing members of their community.
Schedule and Salary
This position is stationed at a beautiful group home in North Falmouth, with weekly presence requested at our main office in South Plymouth. The schedule for this role includes both administrative and direct care responsibilities on Monday 9am-5pm, Tuesday 9am-5pm, Wednesday 9am-4pm, Thursday 12pm-8pm, Friday 12pm-9pm. On-call support is rotated between Program Managers on a weekly basis, including Friday and Saturday availability to answer occasional phone calls. The pay for this position is $59,829.12 annual salary. Community Systems is proud to offer a comprehensive medical, dental and vision package along with accrued earned leave, bonus structure for tenure gained, along with UKG wallet, 403B and many other benefits offerings.
Program Manager Qualifications
The ideal candidate brings prior experience in direct care and a strong track record of effectively supervising staff dynamics. Ability to maintain a professional relationship with family of persons supported. Must have minimum 2-3 years of experience in healthcare and/or nonprofit settings. A Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience desired. You bring a thoughtful approach to boundary-setting, accountability and follow through, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt as priorities evolve.
The Program Manager will also possess, exhibit and have shown successful leadership in:
  • Keen sense of leadership, with the ability to nurture and grow other leaders
  • Flexibility to adapt and change to current needs and the ability to effectively communicate such changes
  • Thorough knowledge of:
    • licensing and DDS / MCB funding requirements;
    • the Individual Plan (IP) process; from initiation to implementation;
    • positive behavior support concept and techniques;
  • Professional writing and communication skills commensurate with the position
  • Identification and growth of new leaders, via teaching, coaching, mentoring and onboarding
  • Identification, implementation and use of innovative concepts, practices and/or technology, in order to promote greater independence and happiness for the persons supported
  • Manage funds of persons supported and assist team with routine maintenance of company property
  • In-House Training provided to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification along with Medication Administration Supervision responsibilities
  • Must be comfortable and able to bend, walk, kneel and lift up to 50 pounds
