Opportunity Overview

The Program Manager - Defense & Aerospace will lead highimpact programs supporting military and aerospace customers, ensuring seamless execution across scope, schedule, and cost. This role serves as a strategic integrator, working closely with Sales and external customers and integrating customer needs across engineering and operations to drive program success and uphold Teradyne's standards of excellence.

Key responsibilities include:
Lead planning, execution, and closure of complex Defense & Aerospace programs aligned with Teradyne's program lifecycle framework.
Collaborate with Sales on proposal development and program capture strategies.
Conduct detailed contract reviews to assess scope, risk, and deliverables.
Develop and manage Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), identifying critical paths and mitigating risks.
Build strong crossfunctional alignment across global teams to ensure cohesive, timely execution.
Monitor program performance using industrystandard tools; initiate corrective actions to maintain program health.
Deliver concise executivelevel program updates and customer communications.
Sustain a culture of urgency, accountability, and crossfunctional collaboration.  

Travel of 10% or less.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent experience
Minimum 7 years of progressive engineering and program/project management experience, ideally in Aerospace & Defense or hightech.
Demonstrated success leading complex, multidisciplinary programs with full cost/schedule/performance accountability.
Proficiency with program management tools, risk reviews, and integrated scheduling (e.g., MS Project).
Excellent organizational and communication skills including ability to communicate and foster communication between project groups.

Strong ability to use data and information for problem solving.
Understanding of handling and securing ITAR and CUI information.

Preferred Qualifications:

PMP or equivalent certification.
Technical expertise in Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and defense electronics.
Familiarity with Salesforce, PLM systems, and ERP platforms.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $111.600-$178,600. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan: Eligible for discretionary bonus based on financial performance.
