Program Manager II | Louisville, Kentucky, United States Job Summary: Program Manager II - Transmission & Substation Capital Programs Location: Louisville, KY 40202 | Hybrid (Tues-Thurs onsite) | Contract About the Role Join our dynamic team as a Program Manager II, where you will lead complex transmission and substation capital projects from conception to completion. In this high-impact, hybrid position, you will be the primary liaison between our company and contractors, ensuring that all projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and in full compliance with regulatory and internal standards. This is your opportunity to drive critical infrastructure initiatives and gain exposure to executive-level program management and governance. Responsibilities - Oversee end-to-end project management for multiple transmission and substation capital programs - Lead cross-functional teams through project planning, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout - Manage scope, schedule, budget, forecasting, cash flow, earned value, and change control using advanced project management systems (Primavera, Infor, CMX) - Supervise contractor performance, including contract administration, invoicing, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and on-site activities - Coordinate outages and construction sequencing while managing project interdependencies with diverse stakeholders - Execute procurement activities, including RFP development, bid evaluation, negotiations, and contract award processes - Ensure compliance with NERC/CIP, environmental, health & safety, and all regulatory requirements - Identify, assess, and mitigate project and program risks, maintaining proactive risk management - Prepare executive-level reporting, facilitate program reviews, and support governance activities such as TOM gates, audits, and regulatory reviews - Maintain thorough, auditable project documentation, and support asset closeout and lessons learned initiatives Required Skills and Experience - 2-5 years' experience in program or project management-preferably within transmission and substation or utility capital projects - Proven track record managing scope, budget, schedule, and contractors for complex capital programs - Proficiency using project management systems (Primavera, Infor, CMX) - Strong knowledge of contract administration, procurement, and construction management - Familiarity with NERC/CIP and regulatory compliance requirements - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills Preferred Skills - Experience in outage coordination - Prior exposure to executive-level reporting and regulatory reviews - Advanced risk management capabilities Benefits - Hybrid work schedule for optimal work-life balance (Tues-Thurs onsite) - Exposure to high-visibility projects and executive leadership - Collaborative team culture and professional development opportunities - Opportunity to make a tangible impact on critical utility infrastructure How to Apply Ready to advance your program management career?
