Senior Technical Program Manager, Data Cloud

Location: Sunnyvale, CA, USA

Overview

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross‑functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

You will unleash your significant talents for program management, mobilizing cross‑functional teams, delivering solutions for scale and driving data‑driven decision making to refine, launch and take to market solutions that accelerate our customers' success in the cloud.

Responsibilities
  • Set the goal and direction for a program by outlining goals and objectives, evaluating and running multiple projects, organizing cross‑project work within the program, and defining program controls, governance, and standards.
  • Drive consistency between Cloud processes and central processes, bring visibility and strengthen communication across the teams.
  • Enable execution across multiple teams and drive delivery across the complete portfolio of Data Cloud products and solutions.
  • Engage with engineering directors, product leaders and other Technical Program Manager groups to streamline processes, simplify execution, manage OKRs, release on time, leverage AI tooling for efficiencies and help the teams you are engaged with in execution.
  • Mentor junior team members, act as a role model and advocate the TPM role.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 8 years of experience managing cross‑functional or cross‑team projects.
  • Experience running large programs and managing teams.
  • Technical judgment and understanding of systems.
  • Technical acumen.
Compensation and Benefits

US: $192,000 - $279,000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits.
