Duties and Responsibilities:

Execute Care Plans: Carry out targeted therapeutic exercises, stretching, and mobility routines created by the supervising Physical Therapist (PT).

Gait & Mobility Training: Guide patients through walking, stairs, and weight-bearing exercises using assistive devices like walkers, canes, or crutches.

Hands-on Interventions: Provide manual therapy, soft tissue massage, joint mobilization (as state scope allows), and passive range-of-motion exercises.

Administer Modalities: Apply therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation (E-stem), hot/cold packs, and traction to manage pain and swelling.

Track & Report Progress: Measure patient response, range of motion, and endurance, documenting updates and notifying the supervising PT when plans need adjustment.

Patient & Family Education: Teach patients proper body mechanics, home exercise programs, and safe techniques for transferring out of beds or chairs.

Requirements

Active NH PTA License
