The Opportunity

This position works out of our Livermore, CA location in the Abbott Heart Failure, Acelis Connected Health business. Our Heart Failure solutions are helping address some of the World's greatest healthcare challenges.

As the Program Manager, you areresponsible for leading complex programs helping to build program management fundamentals for the Acelis Connected Health Business. Programs will span all major business functions (e.g. operations, commercial, revenue cycle, legal, software, IT) whereby new product development will primarily focus on digital products. This high-impact PM will additionally be instrumental in building the culture and capabilities within program management across the business, including core team structure, governance, templates, tools, and overall execution framework. As such, the right candidate will be an expert in project management fundamentals, have demonstrated strong program-level execution, and be a change agent in building a strong PM culture.

What You'll Work On

  • Manage projects, programs and/or portfolios spanning the following functional areas:
    • New product development within software & IT
    • Revenue cycle management
    • Customer service & supply chain
    • Sales & marketing
  • Manage high-complexity projects containing multiple workstreams, including core team and extended teams.
  • Drive culture of core team effectiveness by ensuring clear expectations, adequate resource planning, and accountability structure.
  • Drive initiatives to improve program management practices and tools, including: (1) implementation of waterfall vs. agile, (2) governance templates, (3) prioritization framework.
  • Follows all regulatory policies, procedures, privacy, and security standards in accordance with government agencies including all HIPAA requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in a technical or engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years in a program management role.
  • Experience managing new product development for digital products.
  • Experience managing programs with complex requirements in a highly regulated industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in technology lifecycle processes (SDLC, agile, waterfall, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in Product or Project Management.
  • Familiarity with healthcare services and products.
  • Certifications in Agile Scrum Rolls.
