Sr. Director, Technical Program Management (Remote-Eligible)

About the Team:

Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech) comprises many of Capital One's most important enterprise platforms. We establish practices for building technology solutions across the company and deliver capabilities that exemplify those practices. As a TPM in EPTech, you will leverage your technical acumen and engineering experience to drive the strategy and execution of large-scale, technically complex, cross-functional programs aligned with Capital One's business priorities. You'll break down complexity and organizational silos, influence roadmaps, dive deep into system design and architecture, make technical tradeoffs, drive platform consolidation, and identify, resolve, define, and escalate mitigation plans for hard technical dependencies.

Our TPM Sr. Directors have:

  • Strong technical backgrounds (ideally building highly scalable platforms, products, or services) with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout delivery life-cycle

  • Experience building and leading a world-class team of technical program managers with a mission to power real-time, intelligent experiences for our customers and associates

  • Lead technology focused discussions with senior leadership by providing valuable insights and recommendations that guide technology-based decisions

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • At least 9 years of experience managing technical programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing.

  • 5+ years of experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services/architecture - preferably using AWS

  • 5+ years of building & leading experienced TPM team

  • 5+ years experience building highly scalable mobile products & platforms

  • 5+ years of experience with Agile delivery

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
