Job Description:  

This position serves as a senior program scheduling professional responsible for supporting Tier One Programs through planning, scheduling, analysis, and reporting activities. The role provides direct program support for schedule development and maintenance, change control activities, customer deliverables, baseline review support, and cost and schedule integration within an Earned Value Management environment, as well as support for replanning and schedule recovery efforts.

The individual in this role develops, maintains, and analyzes integrated program schedules, including resource-loaded schedules and Earned Value-related schedule analysis. This position supports programs in building executable plans, integrating inputs across functional and program teams, and improving schedule quality, transparency, and performance.

This role also contributes to the refinement of program planning and scheduling processes, tools, and reporting methods to improve planning consistency and resource visibility across programs. The individual will work closely with program leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to provide planning and scheduling support for high-priority program needs.

Essential Functions: 

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze Integrated Master Schedules and related planning artifacts for assigned programs or projects using program requirements and planning inputs.
  • Perform schedule analysis, including critical path, schedule risk, logic, baseline, and schedule health assessments.
  • Experience developing and maintaining resource-loaded Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) in support of program planning, execution, and Earned Value Management requirements.
  • Track schedule performance, identify logic conflicts and performance variances, and support resolution of schedule issues.
  • Integrate schedule inputs across functional organizations including engineering, finance, material, manufacturing, and quality.
  • Support EVMS activities through schedule statusing, variance analysis, and maintenance of compliant scheduling practices.
  • Prepare schedule status, milestone, and risk information for program and functional stakeholders.
  • Support subcontractor and supplier schedule coordination, as needed.
  • Apply standard project management and scheduling techniques to assess progress and highlight areas requiring attention.
  • Ensure schedule compliance with internal procedures and project control requirements.
  • Contribute to process and tool improvements that improve schedule quality and visibility.
  • Participate in schedule reviews and communicate schedule risks, issues, and impacts to stakeholders.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, STEM, or other related field and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience; or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience; or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Strong knowledge of supporting DoD programs in a Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead planning and scheduling efforts for large, high-visibility government programs.
  • Proven ability to create and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and supporting schedules for assigned projects or programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and present project-level reports, presentations, and deliverables that communicate schedule status and risk to program management and senior leadership.
  • Strong working knowledge of Monte Carlo schedule risk analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Space Systems programs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with Structured Solutions Incorporated (SSI) tools.
  • Program management and coordination capability, including knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and quality of deliverables.
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
