Job description

Position Summary

The Product Launch Manager owns the end-to-end release management process, ensuring that product releases are high quality, well-coordinated, and effectively communicated across the organization. This role serves as the operational bridge between Engineering, QA, Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Experience, and Leadership to ensure each release is delivered successfully, adopted effectively, and aligned with business objectives.

The Product Launch Manager drives release readiness, release quality, customer communication, product adoption metrics, executive reporting, and cross-functional coordination to maximize the impact of every release.

Key Responsibilities

Release Planning & Coordination

  • Own the release calendar and orchestrate all major product releases.
  • Coordinate readiness activities across Product, Engineering, QA, Marketing, Sales, Customer Experience, Support, Documentation, and Security.
  • Maintain release checklists, dependencies, milestones, approvals, and go/no-go decision processes.
  • Facilitate release readiness reviews and stakeholder alignment meetings.
  • Ensure accountability for completion of all release-related deliverables and signoffs.

Quality & Release Assurance

  • Partner closely with QA leadership to establish release quality standards and release acceptance criteria.
  • Monitor testing progress, defect trends, regression results, and release risk assessments.
  • Coordinate release validation activities and ensure production readiness.
  • Drive post-release reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Track and report release quality metrics and operational health indicators.

Go-to-Market & Release Communications

  • Partner with Marketing to develop release themes, launch narratives, and release messaging.
  • Coordinate release notes, feature announcements, customer communications, and launch materials.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across marketing campaigns, product communications, and customer-facing teams.
  • Support customer adoption initiatives and feature awareness campaigns. Sales & Customer Readiness
  • Lead release readiness programs for Sales, Customer Experience, and Support organizations.
  • Coordinate training, enablement materials, FAQs, playbooks, demonstrations, and release briefings.
  • Track readiness tasks and ensure customer-facing teams are prepared prior to launch.
  • Serve as a central point of coordination for release-related stakeholder communications.

Product Operations & Analytics

  • Create and maintain product adoption dashboards and reporting within Pendo and related analytics platforms.
  • Develop metrics that measure feature usage, customer adoption, engagement trends, and release success.
  • Partner with Product leadership to establish KPIs and adoption targets.
  • Provide ongoing insights and recommendations to improve product utilization and customer value realization.

Executive Reporting & Business Operations

  • Support Product leadership in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), board materials, and executive presentations.
  • Develop release performance summaries, adoption reporting, and customer impact analyses.
  • Assist with product-level P&L reporting, cost attribution analysis, and business performance reviews.
  • Consolidate operational, financial, and adoption data into executive-ready reporting packages.

Process Improvement

  • Establish scalable release management processes, governance standards, and operating procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to automate release readiness tracking and reporting.
  • Continuously improve cross-functional coordination, transparency, and release predictability.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in Launch Management, Product Operations, Program Management, or a related role.
  • Experience coordinating complex software releases across multiple teams.
  • Strong understanding of Agile software development and quality assurance practices.
  • Experience working directly with Product Management, Engineering, QA, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.

Preferred

  • Experience with Pendo, Jira, Confluence, Rally, Faros, or similar product operations platforms.
  • Experience creating executive-level dashboards, QBRs, and business reviews.
  • Familiarity with SaaS business models, product metrics, and P&L concepts.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
