Minimum Requirements:

  • associate's degree + 4 years of relevant experience supporting individuals with IDD; OR bachelor's degree + 2 years of experience; OR master's degree + 1 year of experience
  • 2 years of supervisory experience (supervising two or more team members)
  • valid U.S. driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience (NOTE time spent driving on a learner's permit/provisional license does NOT count toward this 2-year requirement)
  • must be willing and able to undergo pre-employment and random drug screening
  • must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • must be at least 18 years oldย 

The Program Assistant Manager is responsible for:

  • Directly supervising "Sub" (PRN) direct support team members
    • complete 6-month and annual performance reviews
    • oversee training and certification process for direct reports
    • monitor, review, and approve direct reports' timesheets and PTO requests
    • ensure completion of daily service notes, daily attendance, and other required documentation
    • provide regular feedback and retraining when necessary
  • Financial Oversight
    • complete rep-payee paperwork when applicable, coordinate tax filing, monitor resource limits, establish ABLE/Pooled Asset Trusts as needed
    • coordinate completion of SSA/SSI/SSDI benefit paperwork
    • approve payment of bills (medical, room and board, subscriptions, etc.)
    • monitor all financial documents for people supported to ensure accuracy and spending integrity
    • submit credit card receipts and code appropriately
    • approve credit card receipts of program purchases submitted by Residential Supervisor
  • Incident Management
    • follow all incident reporting based on state requirements, by the required timeframe, and within the appropriate system
    • obtain Certified Investigator Training/Certification
    • ensure all incidents that require investigation are started and finished within the required timeframe
    • participate in, and coordinate follow up procedures after, admin reviews
  • Compliance
    • Ensure team members are trained and up to date on individuals' PCPs/ISPs
    • guarantee all plans and protocols pertaining to an individual's support needs are accurate and revised annually and/or as necessary
    • ensure that yourself and your direct reports complete all mandatory trainings and certifications within required timeframesย 
    • complete monthly site assessments; implement and ensure completion of correction plans when necessary
    • actively participate in licensing reviews

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift and carry or otherwise move items weighing 20/50 pounds regularly/occasionally
  • Transfer or assist in transferring individuals
  • Adequate visual acuity to perform essential functions
  • Read, write, and speak English to communicate with individuals and team membersย
