Responsible for operating pre-programmed CNC machines, basic setups, and part deburring under direct supervision. Must demonstrate a strong desire to actively learn machine operation, blueprint reading, measuring tools, shop math, and tool setting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operation & Production: Load/unload parts and fixtures, deburr parts, and start/stop pre-programmed CNC machines.
  • Program Integrity: Run proven programs with no edits. Follow the "Stop, Call, Wait" protocol if edits are required.
  • Setup & Tooling: Perform basic setups where fixtures are already built and tooling is predefined. Load and set cutting tools under guidance.
  • Quality & Blueprints: Read blueprints for simple features. Perform limited troubleshooting (e.g., monitoring tool wear).
  • Standards & Support: Signal consistency, safety, and strict adherence to shop standards. Work closely under a lead or supervisor. Forklift and crane experience is a plus.
