For a Client Program Manager, earning $4,000 a week typically requires significant experience, strong project management skills, and often certifications like PMP. Client Executive

Company: BLOX
Reports to: Chief Commercial Officer
Focus Areas: Data Centers, Retail/Financial Services, or Healthcare
Role Type: Client Growth, Business Development, and Account Management

Position Purpose

The Client Executive is responsible for growing BLOX's client relationships and expanding market opportunities within an assigned industry focus area. This role serves as both a business development leader and a strategic account manager, with approximately 50% of the role focused on hunting for new opportunities and 50% focused on farming, cultivating, growing, and maintaining existing client relationships.

The Client Executive will identify new business opportunities, deepen client partnerships, lead pursuit strategies, and help translate client needs into scalable BLOX solutions. This role works closely with commercial leadership, marketing, design, estimating, manufacturing, construction, and project delivery teams to ensure BLOX's design-manufacture-construct approach delivers measurable value to clients.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development and Market Growth

  • Identify, pursue, and develop new client opportunities within the assigned market focus area.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified prospects, strategic accounts, and near-term revenue opportunities.
  • Develop capture plans and go-to-market strategies in partnership with the Chief Commercial Officer and marketing team.
  • Lead or support proposal development, RFP responses, client presentations, and pursuit strategies.
  • Represent BLOX in client meetings, industry events, conferences, and market-facing business development activities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing dynamics, client capital plans, and demand forecasts.
  • Identify adjacent market opportunities where BLOX's design-manufacture-construct model can create value.
  • Convert prospects into long-term client relationships and repeatable program opportunities.

Client Relationship Management and Account Growth

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned clients and strategic accounts.
  • Maintain strong executive, operational, and project-level client relationships.
  • Ensure client satisfaction, retention, repeat business, and long-term account growth.
  • Understand client goals, capital needs, delivery challenges, decision-making processes, and future project pipelines.
  • Translate client needs into BLOX program offerings, product improvements, delivery strategies, and commercial opportunities.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure client expectations are understood, communicated, and met.
  • Proactively identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Support issue resolution, executive communication, and relationship continuity throughout the client lifecycle.

Solution and Program Strategy

  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, construction, estimating, and project management teams to align BLOX solutions with client and market needs.
  • Help shape standardized product lines, delivery models, cost strategies, and scalable program approaches.
  • Provide market feedback to internal teams to improve BLOX offerings and increase competitiveness.
  • Support pricing, margin, risk, and capacity discussions for strategic pursuits and client programs.
  • Ensure client opportunities align with BLOX's operational capabilities, manufacturing capacity, backlog goals, and growth strategy.

Internal Leadership and Reporting

  • Provide regular updates on pipeline status, pursuit activity, conversion ratios, client health, revenue forecasts, and margin expectations.
  • Work cross-functionally to align sales pursuits with operational readiness and delivery capacity.
  • Support executive briefings, strategic account reviews, and market planning sessions.
  • Maintain accurate client, opportunity, and pipeline information in company systems.
  • Serve as a trusted internal voice of the client and the market.

Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of experience in business development, client relationship management, strategic account leadership, construction, program management, real estate development, or related industry experience.
  • Proven success growing client relationships and developing new business opportunities.
  • Experience working with complex clients, multi-site programs, capital projects, or large-scale construction/development initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of one or more target markets: data centers, retail/financial services, healthcare, or comparable commercial/institutional sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead pursuits, proposals, presentations, and executive-level client conversations.
  • Ability to understand client business drivers and translate them into scalable delivery solutions.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including pipeline management, forecasting, pricing awareness, margin discipline, and contract strategy.
  • Experience collaborating with design, estimating, manufacturing, construction, operations, and project delivery teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and executive presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, construction management, engineering, architecture, real estate, or a related field preferred.

Preferred Attributes

  • Strategic, client-centered, and commercially disciplined.
  • Equally comfortable opening new doors and growing existing relationships.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to build trust with senior client stakeholders.
  • Collaborative, practical, and solutions-oriented.
  • Able to balance client advocacy with BLOX's operational, financial, and strategic priorities.
  • Curious about market trends, client needs, and opportunities for innovation.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Measures of Success

  • New client opportunities identified and converted.
  • Growth within existing strategic accounts.
  • Client satisfaction, retention, and repeat business.
  • Qualified pipeline value and conversion rate.
  • Revenue and margin contribution.
  • Quality of capture plans, proposals, and client presentations.
  • Alignment between client demand, BLOX solutions, and operational capacity.
  • Strength and depth of client relationships across executive and operational levels.
