Job description

Corporate Events Coordinator
Location: Chicago, IL - Loop; hybrid schedule (some days remote and some days in office, weekly)
Hours: Monday - Friday, standard business hours with occasional evenings (as needed)
Schedule: Part-time (25-30 hours/week) through 2026; ramp up to 40 hours/week in 2027
Employment type: Contract / Contract to Hire
Pay range: $75-80k
What You'll Do
  • Coordinate and execute meetings, conferences, networking events, and special programs from planning through completion.
  • Partner with internal teams, community partners, vendors, caterers, and building management to ensure successful event delivery.
  • Manage event logistics, including room scheduling, catering, registration, guest services, AV coordination, signage, and materials.
  • Serve as the onsite event lead, ensuring a seamless experience and quickly resolving issues as they arise.
  • Prepare meeting spaces and ensure audiovisual equipment and presentation technology are fully operational.
  • Support community engagement initiatives, member events, and networking activities within Level 5.
  • Deliver exceptional hospitality and customer service to guests, partners, and staff.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in event management or related
  • Experience coordinating multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting meeting technology and audiovisual equipment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Teams.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
Benefits statement: Benefits include medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement savings, and other value-added benefits.
Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
