SCHEDULE:Up to 40 hours/week
This position is open until filled. We accept and review applications on a rolling basis, with priority given to applications received by 8 a.m. on Monday, August 17, 2026.

JOB SUMMARY: The Seasonal Program Navigator plays a key role in supporting the Energy & Utilities Program during the high-demand winter season. This position provides direct client services, including intake, eligibility screening, application processing, and appointment scheduling for energy and utility assistance. The role also includes general administrative support, data entry, and coordination of services, with a strong emphasis on client interaction and support.
OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes, but is not limited to:
Client Services & Support
- Respond to phone and in-person inquiries regarding energy and utility assistance programs.
- Provide clear, compassionate guidance to clients navigating the application process.
- Assist clients in completing applications and gathering required documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions.
Application Processing & Eligibility
- Schedule eligibility appointments.
- Review applications for completeness and accuracy.
- Determine and document eligibility based on program guidelines.
- Determine levels of payment and notify applicants of determination.
- Process purchase orders and ensure timely data entry into required systems.
- Refer to other BMAC programs (such as Weatherization) and local resources as needed to provide holistic client support.
Administrative & Program Support
- Maintain organized eligibility information and client files.
- Support the preparation of periodic reports and documentation.
- Perform general office duties including filing, scanning, and database management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth program operations.
- Generate monthly reports as required.
- May audit or review co-worker files for accuracy as needed.
- Provide assistance in the implementation of outreach activities in the community.
Other Duties
- Serve as program lead when needed and as directed in the absence of Program Director.
- Participate in team meetings and trainings.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience
Relevant experience and/or education may be substituted for either education or work history.
- High school diploma or GED; Associates degree in Human Services or related field preferred
- Two (2) years of experience in an office environment or client-facing role, preferably at a non-profit or human/social services agency
- Intake and/or eligibility screening experience in social service setting is preferred.
- A working knowledge of issues and resources in relation to services for low-income families, preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Proficiency in working with computer applications. Experience with Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, and client management systems (such as CAP60) strongly preferred.

- Ability to write legibly.
- Ability and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work in an open office setting and multitask with frequent interruptions.
