We have various offices throughout Southern California, providing a modern, safe, and relaxed office setting with opportunities for growth in a lively atmosphere.

Position Summary

The Program Director II is a leadership role responsible for overseeing program development, implementation, and evaluation to ensure high-quality services for neurodivergent individuals. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership abilities, program management expertise, and a deep understanding of the unique needs of individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The Program Director II will collaborate with stakeholders, manage staff, oversee budgets, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Travel will be required. This position will oversee our LA and Santa Barbara offices.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Development

- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of programs that support neurodivergent individuals in achieving independence and self-determined futures.

- Ensure programs align with the mission, vision, and values of Self Determined Futures LLC.

- Develop and implement policies and procedures that support service excellence and compliance with regulatory standards.

- Oversee the Individual Housing Transition Services (IHSTS) and Individual Housing & Tenancy Sustaining Services programs, ensuring clients receive the necessary support to secure and maintain affordable housing.

- Expand service offerings based on client needs, funding opportunities, and emerging best practices.

Operations & Compliance

- Ensure programs meet all state, federal, and funding requirements, including compliance with all programs provided by SDF LLC.

- Monitor service quality through audits, program evaluations, and data-driven decision-making.

- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support program effectiveness and compliance.

- Develop and oversee program budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and efficient use of resources.

Team Leadership & Staff Development

- Recruit, train, and supervise program managers, coordinators, and direct service staff.

- Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to staff.

- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and person-centered work culture.

- Conduct performance evaluations and implement staff development plans.

Community Engagement & Advocacy

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with community partners, housing agencies, employment organizations, and advocacy groups.

- Represent Self Determined Futures LLC in public forums, conferences, and networking events.

- Advocate for policies and initiatives that improve housing access, career opportunities, and social inclusion for neurodivergent individuals.

Client-Centered Services

- Ensure services are individualized, strengths-based, and aligned with person-centered planning principles.

- Work closely with clients and families to develop individualized service plans that support housing stability, career growth, and independent living.

- Implement data collection and feedback mechanisms to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.

Qualifications Required

- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services, public administration, or a related field.

- Master's degree in a related field required

- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in program management, social services, disability services, or a related field.

- At least three (5) years of leadership or supervisory experience.

- Experience with grant writing, fundraising, and securing program funding.

- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to disability services.

- Experience with trauma-informed care and mental health support services.

- Strong knowledge of neurodiversity, developmental disabilities, and person-centered planning.

- Experience with Medicaid-funded programs, housing support services, and case management.

- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in program evaluation, data analysis, and budgeting.

- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, staff, and stakeholders.

- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
