About the Program
The Clinical Leadership Academy is a
paid, full-time leadership development program that serves as MFA's premier pathway for developing exceptional clinical leaders.
Phase One: Leadership Development (4 Weeks)
Participants begin with an intensive four-week training program at MFA's home office in Roanoke, Virginia. Developed by experienced healthcare leaders, this immersive curriculum focuses on leadership, clinical operations, regulatory compliance, workforce management, quality improvement, and the core competencies required to lead a successful nursing department.
Phase Two: Clinical Leadership Residency
Upon successful completion of classroom training, participants transition into a full-time residency at one of our skilled nursing centers. Working alongside experienced Directors of Nursing and operational leaders, participants gain hands-on leadership experience while receiving ongoing mentorship and coaching.
Candidate Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Clinical experience in long-term care or skilled nursing
- Willingness to relocate based on organizational needs
- Demonstrated leadership potential and a commitment to professional growth
Graduates of the Clinical Leadership Academy are prepared to step into Director of Nursing opportunities as positions become available.
