Job description

Seeking a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician to serve as Program Director in south TX.
Under the direction of the Designated Institutional Official (DIO), the Program Director is responsible for the general administration, curriculum planning, recruitment, and teaching and supervision of the IM Residency Program (“IM Program or Program”). The Program Director establishes the strategic direction of the Program and is responsible for the standards, quality and reputation of such. The Program Director is expected to support integration of the IM Program with physician practices and hospital clinical services in a manner that enhances value and quality, and that promotes an optimal environment for professional practice and medical education.

Qualified candidates will have excellent communication skills, active involvement in research and scholarship (publications, presentations, etc.), and mentorship experience of residents and students in scholarship and development of scholarship programs. Inpatient and administrative experience is preferred.
