Join Our Mission to Make a Global ImpactMAF Canada is looking for a passionate and driven Operations Director to play a key leadership role in our Guelph, Ontario, Office. This is a full-time opportunity to lead with purpose, reporting directly to the Vice President (VP) of Operations and helping drive our mission forward both at home and around the world. You'll travel domestically and internationally to ensure operational excellence and build strong global connections that fuel our ministry.

Annual Salary:Salary is commensurate with experience, education and training. A comprehensive benefit program is also provided. Work Location:The legal right to work in Canada is required for this role. A balanced hybrid home and work office environment can be negotiated with the VP Operations to ensure that role responsibilities and agreed upon objectives can be met. Some international and domestic travel will be required.Responsibilities
  • Serve as a key ambassador for operational programs across MAF Canada departments, while fostering strong relationships with partners, vendors, and industry stakeholders to represent and advance MAFC's mission.

  • Provide strategic leadership to program directors and senior operations staff, offering mentorship and guidance in alignment with safety, quality, and ministry goals.

  • Collaborate closely with the Director of QSS to ensure operational activities are well-resourced, compliant with safety standards, and that risks are regularly assessed and appropriately mitigated.

  • Oversee the development and execution of Ministry Plans, capital and operating budgets, aircraft procurement, and strategic projects, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and financial stewardship.

  • Manage the flow of funding, including aircraft reserves, flight subsidies, and equipment resources, while approving program expenditures and supporting Donations-in-Kind assessments with Philanthropy and Communications teams.

  • Lead operational reporting, impact measurement, and emergency response participation, while ensuring program staffing levels and Canadian technical qualifications are maintained in collaboration with People & Culture.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Holds or has held an ICAO aviation license.
  • Previous experience in operations or maintenance management.
  • Holder of a post-secondary degree in aviation or a related technical field.
