Job description

We are seeking an experienced SAP Program Director to lead a large-scale, multi-year SAP business transformation program within the Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) industry. The role will provide end-to-end delivery leadership, executive stakeholder management, program governance, and cross-functional coordination across business and technology workstreams.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end delivery of the SAP transformation program from scoping and planning through implementation and stabilization.
  • Lead cross-functional integration across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Project Controls, Supply Chain, Finance, and Technology.
  • Establish and manage program governance, including workstream ownership, dependencies, RAID management, escalations, and executive reporting.
  • Manage program execution using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, and Microsoft Project.
  • Translate EPC business processes into SAP solution and project design decisions, including:
    • Project setup and WBS design
    • Cost planning and cost breakdown structures
    • Engineering change management
    • Subcontractor management
    • Progress measurement
    • Progress billing
    • Percentage-of-completion revenue recognition
  • Own the integrated program plan, critical path, scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and quality across all workstreams.
  • Serve as the senior relationship and escalation point for executive stakeholders.
  • Lead steering committees, operational governance forums, and executive status reviews.
  • Build and lead distributed onsite/offshore delivery teams, including program and workstream leadership.
  • Drive timely resolution of cross-functional dependencies, risks, and delivery issues.
  • Ensure adherence to SAP Activate methodology and established program management standards.
Mandatory Requirements
  • 8+ years of SAP program/project leadership experience, with at least 5 years delivering SAP solutions within an EPC contractor or owner-operator capital projects environment.
  • Strong experience with SAP Project System (PS), S/4HANA Project Management, and Engineer-to-Order (ETO) processes.
  • Proven experience serving as Program Director on at least two full-lifecycle, multi-year SAP transformation programs.
  • Strong understanding of the integration between engineering, procurement, construction execution, finance, supply chain, and enterprise technology.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-party programs involving system integrators, advisory partners, and internal business/technology teams.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Activate, program governance, RAID management, dependency management, and escalation processes.
  • Demonstrated experience managing executive-level stakeholders and steering committees.
  • Strong experience managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and critical-path activities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Must be U.S.-based, with Texas preferred, authorized to work in the United States, and willing to travel as required.
