Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Mendix Development Intern to join the Social Acquisition team within the Global Demand Center. This internship provides hands-on experience in low-code application development, working directly on an internal Mendix app built to operationalize social selling workflows for a global sales organization.
As a Mendix Development Intern, you will support the ongoing development, testing, and enhancement of a Mendix app under the guidance of the Social Intelligence & Activation team. You will gain practical experience in low-code development, user-centered design, and the intersection of marketing technology and sales enablement within a global organization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and enhancement of the app using the Mendix low-code platform
  • Assist with building and refining app features, workflows, and user interface components based on team requirements and user feedback
  • Participate in QA and testing cycles, identifying and documenting bugs or usability issues
  • Collaborate with team members to translate functional requirements into app functionality
  • Support documentation efforts related to app features, development decisions, and update logs
  • Assist with the rollout of new features or updates, including testing in staging environments prior to deployment
  • Contribute to ongoing optimization efforts by reviewing app performance and recommending improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders - including marketing and sales enablement teams - to ensure the app meets user needs
  • Develop the ability to operate with increasing independence on clearly defined development tasks over the course of the internship
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with the Mendix low-code platform (academic, project-based, or certification experience accepted)
  • Familiarity with basic UX/UI principles and an interest in building intuitive user experiences
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in testing and documentation
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills - ability to translate technical work for non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Nice to Have
  • Mendix Rapid Developer certification (or in progress)
  • Familiarity with Agile or project management tools (Wrike, Planner, or similar)
  • Interest in B2B marketing, sales enablement, or marketing technology

The hourly range for this position is $18.00 to $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location, as well as degree type and relevant education. In addition, this position is eligible for time off in accordance with Company policies, including paid sick leave and paid volunteer time off.

The hourly pay range for this position 18 - 50 per hour, based off of your projected graduation year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
