Job Summary: The Director of Development is responsible for the oversight of the fundraising efforts of the organization. In addition, the Director of Development will identify potential public and private funding sources for the continued growth of the organization. The Director of Development will provide supervision to the development staff.

MAIOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist Executive Director in setting annual fundraising and marketing goals. Develop and execute annual fundraising plan Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations Supervise the Development Assistant, Grant Writer and interns. Provide branding and marketing strategies Manage social media sites and campaigns Develop and track proposals and prepare reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising Oversee the preparation and implementation of regular donor mail solicitation campaigns Create and execute a strategy for increasing a sustained base of annual individual donors Oversee development and implementation of fundraising events Assist with Board development and management particularly in the area of fundraising.

Development and planning of at least one annual large-scale fundraising event for the organization; including obtaining corporate sponsorship Provide regular activity reports for the Executive Director and the Board of Directors Maintain calendar of events for organization Active participant for Development Committee of the Board of Directors Ensures that Bebashi Transition To Hope is known and recognized throughout the Philadelphia region in order to solicit potential funders/donors Perform other related duties as assigned. Experience and Skills: Education: Bachelor's degree in business or nonprofit management from an accredited 4-year institution, Master's degree preferred. Certificate in fundraising management preferred Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience non-profit development experience Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience. Demonstrated success in individual, foundation and corporate giving Knowledge of fundraising management Experience with fundraising software (Raiser's Edge preferred) Familiarity with budgeting and financial reporting Knowledge of special events planning and management Experience in recruiting, managing, motivating and engaging board members in fundraising and special events.

Superior oral and written communication skills. Strong relationship development skills Ability to research and identify potential public and/or private funding sources. Ability to Demonstrated empathy for low-income people.

Ability to work independently Working knowledge of Office 365 Ability to work with diverse group of people Physical Demands: This position requires long periods of being in a seated position and working on a computer. This position may require lifting of up to 10 lbs. May be exposed to outside weather conditions.
