Schedule: Full-time, M-F, 8am-5pm

Pay: Salary $100k-120k, depending on experience

JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Business Development is responsible for managing all aspects of organization marketing, including managing the members of the marketing team, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and referral sources, responding to customer requests and concerns, and negotiating service contracts with managed care organizations, government agencies, and other payers.

DUTIES AND RESPSONSIBILITY

  • Direct all daily marketing operations including providing direct oversight of the establishment and implementation of marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure maximum third-party reimbursement through effective negotiation of service contracts with managed care organizations, government agencies, and other payers.
  • Assist the Executive Director in establishing organization volume projections in the annual budget and in establishing allocations for the marketing department. Monitors allocation of resources according to budgetary limitations.
  • Conduct market assessments and develop a comprehensive marketing plan designed to meet budgetary volume projections.
  • Work with the Director of Patient Care Services to establish marketing techniques for specialty Clinical Programs.
  • Employ marketing and promotional initiatives to achieve budgetary volume projections.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with current and potential referral and payer sources.
  • Build and monitor community, customer, and payer and patient perceptions of Bluebird Home Health as a high-quality service.
  • Provide leadership in strategic planning including identifying opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs.
  • Maintain comprehensive working knowledge of Bluebird Home Health markets including government agencies, major payer groups, key referral sources, and competitor’s market positioning.
  • Monitor and report cost effectiveness of marketing efforts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related field preferred, but not required.
  • 3+ years of experience in home health marketing.
  • 1+ year of experience in marketing leadership.
  • Demonstrates good communications skills, negotiation skills, and public relations skills.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, maintain automobile insurance coverage and have access to an automobile.
