Are you passionate about developing people, promoting clinical excellence, and creating a culture of learning? We are seeking a Staff Development Coordinator / Infection Prevention Nurse to lead staff education, support professional growth, and oversee infection prevention initiatives that protect the health and safety of our residents and team members.
As a key member of our leadership team, you will help shape the quality of care in our facility through education, mentorship, regulatory compliance, and clinical support.
Position Summary
The Staff Development Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and evaluating educational programs for Nursing Services and other departments. This role also leads infection prevention efforts, supports regulatory compliance, and assists with clinical operations as needed.
Unlike a traditional floor nursing role, this position focuses on staff development, leadership, quality improvement, and infection prevention while serving as a valuable resource for the entire team.
This opportunity is ideal for a nurse who enjoys teaching, mentoring, coaching, and helping others succeed.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- Typical hours: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Occasional participation in direct resident care may be required to support operational needs.
- Leadership team members participate in a rotating on-call weekend schedule.

Requirements:
Education
- Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing; BSN degree preferred.
Licenses/Certification
- License as a RN in state employed.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid CPR teaching certificate preferred.
- Certified Infection Control Nurse preferred.
- Current with state Continuing Education (CE) requirements.
Experience
- Three (3) years of nursing experience, of which one (1) year was in a long-term care environment.
- One (1) year experience as an instructor preferred.
- One (1) year acute care experience preferred.
