SUMMARY

Work in coordination with the Agency's human resources and management personnel in ensuring implementation of effective and efficient systems to ensure compliance with Agency Policies and Procedures. Directs training systems for Agency. Provides onsite, support, training and supervision to the Agency's day and residential programs.ย 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.ย ย 

  1. Develops, evaluates, and coordinates training programs/systems for the Agency.ย 
  2. Assist the Agency's Administrative and Executive Team in maintaining/training on the Agency's electronic records system.ย 
  3. Complete schedule quality service checks for all systems and programs.ย ย ย 
  4. Ensure all Agency, state, and federal training requirements are met for all employees.ย 
  5. Interacts with individuals, employees, and families to ensure quality services are being provide and identify opportunities for improvement.ย ย ย 
  6. Assist with developing and planning methods of instruction and techniques for achieving individual client goals, as identified by the annual assessment.ย 
  7. Assist management and supervisory staff in developing community/recreation opportunities/activities for the individuals we support.ย 
  8. Provide on-call support to the Agency's residential programs (to include medical appointments).ย ย ย 
  9. Assist with implementing managing the Agency's scheduling software.ย 
  10. Assist with ensuring uniform residential/program systems are in place.ย ย ย 
  11. Participate in comprehensive service plans for individuals of served by the Agency.ย ย 
  12. Work with Agency and outside medical professionals to ensure Agency personnel are ensuring the health needs of the individuals we support are being met.ย ย ย 
  13. Assist and participate in all Agency licensing and quality service reviews.ย 
  14. Completes all required documentation and reports in accordance with Agency requirements.ย 
  15. Monitor and report all incidents or allegations of abuse, neglect, mistreatment, harassment, or threats of injury made by any client, staff member, visitor, other agency personnel, or family member.ย 
  16. Provide emergency coverage for Agency programs, as needed.ย ย ย 
  17. To assist, teach, and supervise the clients in all aspects of daily living activities and with individual client goals.ย 
  18. Effectively and promptly handle day-to-day issues that arise following Agency and DDS policy and procedures.ย 
  19. Provide information to the Quality Service Director regarding client, staffing, personnel, consultant, and residential concerns.ย 
  20. Maintain all required certifications (i.e., medication administration) and trainings to effectively perform job duties.ย 
  21. Perform any other duties as assigned.ย 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:ย ย 

  1. Assist with onboarding of new employees.ย 
  2. Provide training to supervisors of the Agency.ย 
  3. Train all employees in protection of client's rights and ensure all staff complete and attend required trainings for their job duties.ย 
  4. Plan and organize programs to train staff in implementing programs, and daily living activities with the clients.ย 

TEAMWORK:ย ย 

Attend required staff meetings and actively participate in in-services and trainings.ย ย ย ย 

Work cooperatively with Agency administrative personnel, consultants, families, and other agencies in providing and implementing individual client goals.ย ย 

Work cooperatively with supervisory and other staff within the Agency and those from other agencies.ย ย 

Communicates effectively, professionally, and respectfully to all clients, Agency, DDS, community, and outside Agency personnel.ย ย 


Requirements

COMPETENCIES:ย ย 

Successful completion of Medication Certification programย ย 

Successful completion of PMT, CPR and First Aide training programย ย 

Valid CT drivers license with a satisfactory driving recordย ย 

Maintenance of all required certifications and trainings to effectively perform job dutiesย 

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individual must be able to work on a flexible rotating schedule.ย 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:ย ย 

Associate Degree in the Human Service or related field and/or a minimum of two years experience supervising programs or services for individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, or medical issues; or equivalent combination of education and experience.ย

LANGUAGE SKILLS:ย ย 

Ability to read and interpret English documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions, medical reports and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, families, regulatory agencies, and other employees.ย 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:ย ย 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Able to interpret data and to develop and interpret graphs.ย 

REASONING ABILITY:ย ย 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables.ย
