Lead Information Technology Solution Delivery Manager

Company:

The Boeing Company

The Boeing Company is looking for a Lead Information Technology Solution Delivery Manager to join the team in Hazelwood, MO; Berkeley, MO; Dallas, TX; Long Beach, CA; Mesa, AZ; Miami, FL; North Charleston, SC; Ridley Park, PA or Seattle, WA.

The Enterprise Business Solutions (EBS) team is seeking an experienced specialist to act as the chief orchestrator of our enterprise delivery landscape in partnership with the Chief Architect. This high-visibility, executive-facing role will translate our five-year technology and business roadmap into a detailed, value-focused two-year quarterly release schedule and ensure predictable delivery of solutions including products, services, and programs.

The selected candidate will serve as the central coordinator across all EBS including systems for Supply Chain, Human Resources, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Legal, Communications, and others, ensuring every deployment is strategically aligned and delivers measurable business value. Strong stakeholder management skills and broad technical familiarity with major enterprise systems and platforms are required.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Define, own, and publish the EBS release calendar, linking multi-year strategy to tactical quarterly deployment

  • Convert the 5-year roadmap into a prioritized, executable 2-year quarterly release plan and maintain an 18-month lookahead (published each December and updated quarterly)

  • Ensure a predictable quarterly cadence for major enterprise deployments and an agile approach for incremental value delivery

  • Work directly with Executive Directors and Product Managers to manage cross-functional dependencies, assess risks, and drive release readiness

  • Lead the organization in measuring and communicating the business value and Return on Investments (ROI) of releases, not just the technical functionality deployed

  • Ensure releases optimize for minimal customization, data integrity, security and compliance, and enable enterprise integration

  • Ensure release of readiness gates, quality standards, testing strategies, and security signoffs are enforced

  • Coordinate rollback and contingency plans to preserve business continuity

  • Manage release processes, tooling, and telemetry (release metrics, value delivery, defect trends, deployment timeframes)

  • Coordinate with strategic systems integrators and platform providers to accelerate delivery and scale capabilities

  • Provide a critical technical and functional lens, ensuring seamless and safe releases across complex SAP (e.g., S/4HANA) and Supply Chain applications

  • Support EBS Leadership Team, driving governance and continuous improvement of the Enterprise Release Management function

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience in IT Architecture and Development

  • 10+ years of experience developing strategic technology roadmaps or plans

  • 10+ years of experience in Executive Presentation experience at the VP level or above

  • 10+ years of experience with agile project/program and software product release management

  • 10+ years of experience with CI/CD and configuration management with release processes

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience

  • Certifications such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Release Train Engineer, Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • Experience with collaboration between business and Information Technology

  • Experience with Business Change Management approaches and driving adoption at scale

  • Experience operating in a high-visibility, fast-moving enterprise environment with multiple critical interdependencies

  • Experience managing complex cross-functional dependencies across Security, Infrastructure, Data, Manufacturing, and Business Operations

  • Experience translating technical releases to measurable business outcomes and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)

  • Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) application such as Workday, Ariba, Concur, Salesforce

  • Experience with SAP or ERP systems

  • Experience with translating long-term strategy into executable plans

  • Experience with risk management, release gating, and readiness reviews

  • Experience with stakeholder management, facilitation, and negotiation
