Overview
This role focuses on making sure students who need more academic challenge are identified and supported. The coordinator works with teachers, students, and families to provide appropriate opportunities for advanced learning.
Key responsibilities
Program coordination
  • Help organize and manage the school's gifted/advanced learning programming
  • Make sure services align with district expectations
  • Keep track of student participation and progress

Student identification
  • Help identify students who may need advanced or enriched instruction
  • Review test scores, classroom performance, and teacher input
  • Assist with placement decisions

Instructional support
  • Work with teachers on strategies to challenge advanced learners
  • Support differentiation in the classroom
