Job description

We are currently seek a Full-Time Program Coordinator to join our team at The West Philadelphia Senior Community Center.
The West Philadelphia Senior Community Center is a beloved neighborhood hub for adults age 50 and better that offers lively activities for body, mind, and spirit through classes, clubs, educational programs, health and wellness services, nutritious meals, and transportation.
Shift Available:
  • Full-Time, 7 hours per day

Key job responsibilities include:
  • Oversee all programming for the West Philadelphia Senior Community Center with a focus on special events, recreation, trips, and scheduling.
  • Also responsible for budget development, food service, outreach, volunteers, work with the Advisory Council, and develop community contacts.
  • Coordinate special events involving general membership and those sponsored by the Center in the community.
  • Develop and negotiate contracts for speakers, teachers, special events, vendors, and other specific relationships.

Education and Experience:
  • At least five years' supervisory experience in scheduling events, recreation, trips, etc.
  • At least five years of working experience with older adult population.
