Job description

The Pathway to Excellence Coordinator (PEC) is a Registered Nurse responsible for leading, managing, and maintaining the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Pathway to Excellence designation. The Pathway to Excellence Coordinator is proficient in nursing and possesses strong leadership, communication, and project management skills. They facilitate a healthy, collaborative nursing work environment, ensuring compliance with standards related to shared decision-making, safety, quality, staff well-being, leadership, and professional development. This role is integral to the development and sustainment of a culture of excellence in nursing practice, talent acquisition, and workforce engagement.
  • Work Status: Part Time or .6 FTE, 48 hours every pay period
  • Shift: Varied day hours Monday - Friday
  • Location: Aspirus Health Wausau

Experience/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required or actively working towards it. Master's degree in nursing, healthcare administration and/or business achieved or working towards preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years working within a healthcare environment and demonstrated knowledge and application of Pathway to Excellence and/or Magnet principles
  • Experience working with database management, professional development, shared governance, quality or previous leadership role is preferred
  • Possesses an active Wisconsin RN nursing license.
  • Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire. (See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training Policy).
