Job Description Summary
The Program Coordinator for a STEAM Summer Academy is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing a dynamic, hands-on learning program in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Provides leadership and support to instructors and instructional assistants, ensuring engaging, incorporative, and standards-aligned instruction across all classrooms. Manages daily operations, including scheduling, materials, and student supervision, while maintaining a safe and structured environment. Serves as the central point of communication for staff, students, and families, while monitoring program effectiveness and supporting continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or GED equivalency.
One (1) year program or office coordination experience.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to effectively manage program operations, support instructional staff, and coordinate engaging STEAM activities.
Ability to problem-solve, adapt to dynamic environments, and ensure a safe, incorporative, and well-structured learning experience.
Knowledge of STEAM education and program evaluation to maintain high-quality, hands-on instruction and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Services or similar related field preferred.
