We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Services Line as a Structural Heart Coordinator. 

Job Summary and Qualifications

 Structural Heart Coordinator performs all direct patient care within the scope of the nurse practice act, as it applies to the outcomes and processes defined for Cardiovascular Service Line (CVSL) Programs, coordinates and implements care in the inpatient and outpatient setting for either the VTE/VQI, LAAO, STEMI, or Structural Heart patient population as directed by program coordination requirements. 

What you will do in this role:

  • Collaborates across CVSL to facilitate quality outcomes.
  • Acts as functional expert and serves as the central point-of-contact for quality and data abstractors.
  • Collaborate with program coordinators in the management of program database and registry submissions.
  • Protects the integrity of CVSL quality outcomes by ensuring accuracy is maintained.
  • Validates registry abstraction and identifies and directs timely correction.
  • Coordination of quality reporting: including program score cards, registry outcomes, and corporate /division standings.
  • Participate in service line Morbidity and Mortality reviews.
  • Performance Improvement Initiatives: assist in data driven PI initiatives as directed.
  • Program Development: Research and provide necessary quality metrics, registry participation, and assist in gap analysis of existing services for all new programs under development.
  • Supports the implementation of the strategic goals, objectives and development for the CVSL.
  • Supports performance with accountable care organizations, CMS programs, payer specific quality programs and other quality or government initiatives as directed. 

What qualifications you may need: 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of Nursing is required.

Certification and License:

  • RN License in the state of Georgia in good standing is required.
  • Basic Life Support is required.

Experience:

  • 3 plus years of Registered Nurse experience is required with 2 years’ experience with cardiac/vascular surgery and/or invasive cardiology is preferred.
  • Skills in physical assessment, lab data interpretation, technology skills and nursing theory and practice are preferred.
  • Experience with patient care pathway coordination and program implementation / quality experience preferred.
