Job description
Reports to: Chief, School Age Programs
Classification: Full-Time, Exempt
Location: Golden Gate Middle School, Naples, FL
Schedule: M–F, aligned with school and program hours
Revised Date: 05/26/2026
The Mission Behind the Role
At Grace Place, we believe a family's story doesn't have to be defined by poverty. Every day, we work to change that — through education, community, and a deep commitment to the children and families we serve. That work depends on leaders who are organized, mission-driven, and genuinely invested in what we're building.
That's where you come in.
As Middle School Program Manager, you will lead the middle school team and serve as the operational anchor of the 21st CCLC after-school and summer program at Golden Gate Middle School. You will work closely with school staff, community partners, and program coordinators to ensure every student has access to high-quality academic support, enrichment, and a safe, welcoming environment after the school day ends.
This isn't a behind-the-desk role. It's for someone who thrives in the middle of the action — who finds purpose in the details, builds genuine relationships with students and families, and understands that a well-run program is what allows young people to show up, stay engaged, and grow.
What Success Looks Like in This Role
The program runs smoothly and in full compliance with 21st CCLC and Collier County School District requirements. Students are enrolled, attendance goals are met, and families are actively engaged. Staff are well-scheduled and supported. Data is accurate, timely, and audit-ready. Partnerships with schools and community organizations are strong, and every student who walks through the door feels seen, supported, and challenged.
What You Will Do
- Lead Program Operations
- Ensure site staff and program activities comply with Collier County School District and 21st CCLC rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Oversee day-to-day operations including staff scheduling, curriculum coordination, activity planning, and site reporting
- Ensure the program correlates to and reinforces the school-day curriculum
- Maintain accurate documentation of program activities, services, and individual student records
- Ensure individual student and programmatic evaluation activities are consistently implemented
- Generate and prepare monthly data for program reports
Support Students and Families
- Develop goals and action plans with students participating in the program
- Recruit and enroll participants to meet grant average daily attendance requirements, maintaining an effective waitlist process
- Facilitate and encourage family member involvement through Parent Advisory Council participation and family events
- Provide program orientation and maintain consistent communication with families and schools
- Coordinate ongoing family involvement activities, services, and special events
Build Partnerships and Community
- Work collaboratively with Collier County Public Schools to provide coordinated program support and use student data to improve achievement
- Facilitate partnerships with agencies that provide services to students and families, as well as business and community partners
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with principals, counselors, teachers, and after-school staff
- Coordinate effective volunteer involvement across all facets of the program
What You Bring
Education
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in education or a related field, or equivalent experience
Experience
- At least three years of experience in a teaching or administrative capacity in an organization providing direct services to students
- Minimum of three years of supervisory experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse cultures and populations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, internet use, and basic computer skills sufficient to maintain program records and budgets, and communicate with parents, volunteers, partners, and community
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Commitment to the mission and core values of Grace Place
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Ability to pass background checks and FDLE fingerprinting
Physical Demands amp; Work Environment
This position requires regular presence in a school-based program environment. The Program Manager must be prepared to step into any area of operations to ensure student safety and program continuity.
Essential physical requirements of this role include:
- Move throughout classrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces throughout the workday
- Stand, walk, bend, and move at a pace sufficient to supervise and respond to student needs
- Communicate clearly through spoken word to students, families, and staff
- Remain alert and responsive for extended periods during program hours
- Operate a motor vehicle to travel between Grace Place locations or school sites as needed; must maintain a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and active automobile insurance
- Reasonable accommodations will be considered in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to enable qualified individuals to perform these essential functions.
Background Screening Requirement
- All applicants must successfully complete required State and National background screening as a condition of employment prior to beginning work at Grace Place for Children and Families. Screening is conducted in accordance with applicable Florida law, including Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, and, when applicable, Chapter 408, Florida Statutes.
Background screening includes fingerprinting for FDLE and FBI criminal history checks and review through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. Employment is contingent upon receipt, review, and approval of screening results.
