Position Description

AppliedKid’s is seeking a dedicated and creative Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for preschool-aged children while fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise preschool children at all times while ensuring compliance with licensing, safety, and accreditation standards.
  • Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities that meet the needs of the whole child and reflect individual interests.
  • Collaborate with teaching team members to design, evaluate, and enhance classroom routines, curriculum, and learning environments in accordance with ITERS, ECERS, and QRIS guidelines.
  • Build strong relationships with families through regular communication, parent-teacher meetings, and developmental updates.
  • Maintain accurate child records, assessments, and documentation in alignment with Community Care Licensing Title 22”
  • Create a culturally responsive and inclusive classroom that promotes respect and celebrates diversity.
  • Participate in professional development, training, and staff meetings to implement early education best practices.

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • Minimum of 12 core semester units in ECE plus 3 units in Infant/Toddler studies.
  • Eligible for the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing Child Development Program Associate Teacher Permit or higher.
  • Experience working with preschool children in a licensed childcare center.
  • Compliance with all health, background check, and immunization requirements for childcare employment.

Preferred

The following skills and attributes are preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiar with California Infant/Toddler Preschool Foundations and California Health and Human Services' Community Care Licensing Division Title 22, Division 12.
