Manager, MADI Program Management

The Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Modeling and Advanced Data Insights (MADI) team is on a journey to modernize the way Capital One identifies potential money laundering, fraud, terrorist financing, and human trafficking through the use of advanced analytic techniques, statistics, and machine learning models.

We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated Manager to support MADI horizontal program management operations to champion well-managed processes, associate engagement, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate is

General Responsibilities

The Manager, MADI Program Management, will be responsible for

  • Partnering closely with MADI towers and the senior leadership team to drive excellence across the organization by solving challenges, optimizing workflows, and implementing tools to improve transparency, consistency, and scalability

  • Leading associate experience and culture building processes across MADI including

    • Coordinating and facilitating MADI associate engagement activities and communication mechanisms including all hands, town halls, focus groups, newsletters, etc.

    • Organizing and executing the new associate onboarding experience for team members joining MADI

    • Establishing and managing a training curriculum and learning paths for MADI associates including new team members as well as specialized trainings for specific towers and job families

  • Serving as the liaison to the broader AML COS team to coordinate on AML-wide events, scaling initiatives locally and sharing best practices.

  • Partnering with leadership to design, maintain, and continuously improve organizational mechanisms and routines that ensure we operate efficiently and cohesively, aligning with MADI's imperatives

  • Supporting the implementation and execution of MADI ceremonies and processes including PI planning, prioritization and tradeoffs, and change and dependency management

  • Supporting the ERO GenAI Community of Practice including quarterly summit, monitoring, reporting, as well as MADI AI centralized forums

  • Building relationships and interface smoothly cross-stakeholders across AML Advisory, FCIO, ESRA, Risk Tech and other partner organizations, ensuring effective communication between departments to help drive results

  • Supporting Project Management for large scale projects across MADI

  • Supporting budgeting, recruiting, and resource management processes across MADI

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience

  • At least 5 years of Project Management, Process Management, Program Management, or Change Management experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in Data Management, Risk Management, Compliance, or Audit

  • At least 3 years of experience supporting, partnering with, and interacting with internal business clients

  • At least 2 years of experience writing communications and presenting to both leadership and non-leadership audiences

  • At least 2 years of experience working with cross-functional teams in Tech, Product, Design, or Data

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree

  • 6+ years of Process Management or Operations Management

  • 2+ years of experience in strategy development

  • 2+ years of experience involving organizational design, staffing, budgets, talent, or culture strategy

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Richmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Risk Manager











Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
