Volunteer Program Assistant

Philly Peace in Progress โ€“ Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid Preferred)

Philly Peace in Progress is a communityโ€‘centered nonprofit dedicated to supporting youth, families, and individuals through empowerment programs, violenceโ€‘prevention initiatives, and resource connection. We believe in creating safe spaces, building strong relationships, and helping people move toward stability and success.

Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated individuals who have a passion for helping others and who want to gain valuable experience to strengthen their rรฉsumรฉ. As a Volunteer Program Assistant, you will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of our youth and community programs.

We do offer some remote opportunities, but we strongly prefer hybrid volunteers who can support both virtual tasks and inโ€‘person program days when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and coordinating program activities, workshops, and events
  • Support youth participants during sessions (inโ€‘person or virtual)
  • Help prepare materials, resources, and program documents

  • Collaborate with the Program Coordinator and Executive Director on program needs

  • Comfortable with hybrid work (remote tasks + inโ€‘person program days)

Time Commitment

Hybrid preferred. Remote tasks are available, but inโ€‘person participation is needed during active program sessions and events.
