Job description

The Program Manager will assist in planning, executing, and tracking outcomes and deliverables as part of developing and maintaining a portfolio of community-engaged, health disparity research programs.
Essential Functions (Principal Duties and Job Responsibilities):
  • Oversee and assist with implementation of day-to-day project and budget management for community-engaged, health disparity research programs, including in collaboration with other academic institutions and community-based organizations and stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain systems for tracking multiple community-engaged, health disparity research program deadlines, activities, and outcomes.

  • Develop and coordinate progress reports and presentations as required by research program sponsors or in communicating programmatic outcomes to diverse stakeholder audiences.

  • Plan and provide logistical support for research and community stakeholder meetings

  • Assist with development and coordination of research grant proposals and budgets

  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Knowledge of specific federal funding agency policies and procedures (e.g., NSF, NIH, DOE) and online submission systems.
  • Develop and maintain systems for tracking multiple community-engaged, health disparity research program deadlines, activities, and outcomes.

  • Develop and coordinate progress reports and presentations as required by research program sponsors or in communicating programmatic outcomes to diverse stakeholder audiences.

  • Familiarity with human subjects' research requirements, IRB procedures, and data governance best practices.

  • Plan and provide logistical support for research and community stakeholder meetings

  • Assist with development and coordination of research grant proposals and budgets

  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Preferred:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of program and project management methodologies.
  • Ability to manage and manipulate large datasets accurately and apply concepts such as probability and statistical inference to practical situations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
