Job description

Position Summary

The Program Manager is accountable for the successful delivery of one or more complex, multiproject programs for Vertiv's Infrastructure Solutions (IS) business, primarily within largescale, missioncritical data centre construction and integration environments.

The role operates at a strategic and executionfocused governance level, aligning all projects within the program to Vertiv's internal construction delivery standards, controls, and governance frameworks, while drawing on recognized PMI principles and good practice as guidance. The Program Manager provides leadership across scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, procurement, construction execution, commissioning, and stakeholder management, ensuring predictable, safe, compliant, and profitable delivery in line with Vertiv business requirements.

PMI standards (PMBOK and Program Management Standard) are used as reference frameworks, while adherence to Vertiv construction policies, procedures, HSE requirements, and management systems remains the primary expectation.

Key Responsibilities Program Governance & Leadership
  • Establish and maintain the overall program governance framework in accordance with Vertiv construction delivery standards and controls, informed by PMI bestpractice guidance.
  • Provide senior leadership across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
  • Act as Vertiv's senior program authority with customers, contractors, subcontractors, and delivery partners.
Construction Execution & Integration
  • Oversee sitebased execution across multiple projects, ensuring constructability, sequencing, and logistics are effectively planned and controlled.
  • Manage interfaces between design, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure safe and efficient execution.
  • Ensure readiness for construction start, phased handovers, and final completion.
Scope, Schedule & Cost Control
  • Maintain the integrated master program schedule covering engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure robust change management, progress measurement, and corrective actions across all projects.
  • Own programlevel financial performance, forecasting, and margin protection.
Risk, Quality & HSE
  • Lead programlevel risk management with emphasis on construction, commercial, and safety risks.
  • Ensure compliance with Vertiv quality systems, regulatory obligations, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and visible leadership across all construction sites.
Qualifications & Experience Mandatory
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or equivalent.
  • PMP certification preferred; PgMP advantageous, or equivalent programlevel construction delivery experience.
  • Minimum 15+ years experience delivering complex construction or infrastructure programs.
  • Proven experience in missioncritical / data centre construction environments.
Technical & Professional Skills
  • Strong understanding of Vertiv construction delivery, commercial, and governance standards.
  • Working knowledge of PMI PMBOK and Program Management Standard used as guiding frameworks.
  • Demonstrated leadership in site execution, contractor management, and construction risk control.
  • Proficiency with program controls and scheduling tools, including Microsoft Project and Vertivapproved systems.
Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)
  • Demonstrate visible leadership and accountability for HSE performance on construction sites.
  • Ensure HSE requirements are embedded into planning, execution, and contractor management.
  • Promote a zeroharm culture across all projects within the program.
