Program Assistant Intern

Location: Launch SA, San Antonio, TX (In Person)

About Launch SA: Launch SA is the navigator that connects small businesses and entrepreneurs to the resources they need to help them succeed. A partnership between the City of San Antonio and Geekdom, that hosts tailored workshops for business owners, connect entrepreneurs to funding opportunities, provide educational resources, and assists in catapulting small businesses and entrepreneurs into success. Located deep in the heart of downtown San Antonio. As a staff, we are a small team doing huge things. We are looking to expand our team with an intern that can help support our entrepreneurial support and programming efforts.

Job Overview: We are seeking an eager and motivated Program Assistant Intern to join the Launch SA team. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the local small business and entrepreneurial ecosystem. You will assist in the assistance process to help entrepreneurs get connected to the services they need the most while helping facilitate programming logistics, and get connected to Launch SA ecosystem partners. This is an excellent opportunity to gain direct insight and access to small business in San Antonio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Walk-In Operations & Customer Service
  • Serve as a first point of contact by welcoming walk-in clients seeking small business support.
  • Provide a positive and professional experience by listening to client needs and helping guide them to the appropriate resources, programs, or staff.
  • Conduct Data Compilation & Insights Analysis
  • Gather, organize, and analyze data related, but not limited to client engagement, partnerships, and business assistance.
  • Identify trends and contribute insights that support program improvement and strategic decision-making.
  • Event Support and Coverage
  • Assist with the setup, breakdown, and day-of logistics for workshops, events, and programming.
  • Help manage check-in processes, ensure a smooth participant experience, and support overall event flow.
  • Contribute to Partnership & Community Engagement Efforts
  • Assist in maintaining relationships with partner organizations and supporting community outreach efforts that strengthen Launch SA's role as the front door to entrepreneurial support in San Antonio.
  • Develop & Execute an Independent Event
  • Design and implement an event, workshop, or initiative based on personal interests and organizational needs. This includes planning, outreach, coordination, and evaluation, providing a full-cycle project experience.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business related degree, but not required we are open to other degrees.
  • Strong interest in entrepreneurship, small business, and the San Antonio community.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with a willingness to learn, take initiative and adapt.
  • Basic familiarity with small business and entrepreneurial components.
  • Experience with CRM apps is a plus but not required, such as Airtable, Google Suite, Notion.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
