Must possess high school diploma or recognized equivalent.
Must be highly dependable with regular and punctual attendance.
Must possess the ability to work well with students, staff, and parents.
Must demonstrate sound judgment.
Must be knowledgeable about the use positive interventions and de-escalation strategies with students with disabilities.
Must possess personal fitness sufficient to participate in:
1. Safe therapeutic physical restraints under the guidance of trained certified staff members; and/or
2. Safe lifting and transferring of students when needed
  • Exerting from 20 to 150 pounds of force occasionally, frequently, or constantly is required; and/or

3. Active physical interaction and supervision during instructional and recreational programming.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Director, in that sole and exclusive role, may find appropriate and acceptable.
