Primary Purpose of Position
The Professional Writing Consultant will provide writing assistance to graduate and undergraduate students. The Professor Writing Consultant's primary responsibility will be to assist graduate students and undergraduate students who are producing complex research projects and preparing for standardized test such as the Praxis Core Writing exam.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The University Writing Center is a unit within the University Student Success Office (USSO). Two primary goals of the USSO include increasing first-year retention and four-year graduation rates. The University Writing Center plays an essential role in this initiative.
Work Hours
The work hours for this position are flexible. The candidate could work between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., Monday-Friday and on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
