About the Role

ย 

The Manager- Client Proposal Strategy writes and creates the strategic client-facing materials which includes: RFx responses (e.g., RFP, RFI, RFQ), proactive sales-driven proposals, PowerPoint presentations, pitchbooks, and treasury consultative documents. ย ย The role oversees the end-to-end creation of client-facing material across the bank's Americas footprint, with an emphasis on North America, and across business units- including corporate, commercial, and small business banking- to ensure delivery of tailored, competitive, consistent, and high-quality proposals that comply with the regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

What You'll Do

  • Contribute to a cross functional global team responsible for RFP creation, submission, and follow through, ensuring consistency in standards and messaging.
  • Write concise, persuasive content, translating complex information into digestible written material that will be consumed by a range of audiences.
  • Draw on our database of content, and input from subject matter experts, to assemble client-facing documents based on requirements outlined by sales managers. You will assist with maintaining and elevating the content database as information is gathered from various projects.
  • Manage accurate records on proposals, presentations, and collect debrief information to disseminate to the relevant internal stakeholder groups.
  • Complete detailed and accurate treasury consultative documents and assist with identifying areas of potential new business opportunities or service improvements for consideration.
  • Collaborate with the sales teams and partners to contribute to the financial success of the Global Transaction Banking Sales team globally.
  • Drive a global client centric culture which is designed to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships and practices.
  • Impact the effectiveness of processes and service delivery of RFP's, requests for information and other large complex proposals.
  • Collaborate with business units, product teams and subject matter experts to craft tailored, compelling proposals across Scotiabank's footprint.
  • Maintain KPI's to measure the success and efficiency of the RFP unit, including win rates, number of submissions, turnaround times and client feedback.
  • Drive innovation within the RFP process to improve efficiency, reduce costs, enhance client experience, and position Scotiabank to win targeted key proposals and desired client outcomes.
  • Direct day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the bank's risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits.
  • Operates in accordance with Scotiabank's values, its code of conduct and global sales principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational compliance, AML/ATF sanctions and conduct risk.
  • Support with other duties as assigned by the Director & Head, Global Client Proposals & Content Strategy.

What You'll Bring

  • English fluency (oral and written) is required for this position. The candidate will be expected to articulate complex Banking concepts in naturally written and spoken English.
  • You have 5+ years of related work experience in responding to RFPs, within a bank, financial institution, and/or related industry.
  • You have an undergraduate degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, Communications or a related discipline.
  • You have excellent written communication skills, and express complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely. You have an exceptional eye for detail, backed by a solid foundation of grammar and professional writing skills.
  • You have great proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), and Adobe Acrobat. You have experience utilizing a centralized content library. Graphic design skills, particularly as applicable to technical writing, are an asset.
  • You are self-motivated with high organizational and stakeholder/project management skills, being able to clearly communicate verbally in English, manage resources, track deliverables, prioritize tasks, and drive multiple projects and requests under tight deadlines.
