We are the nation's largest owner of top-rated local television stations and digital assets serving 117 full-power television markets that collectively reach approximately 37% of US television households. The portfolio includes 80 markets with the top-rated television station and 100 markets with the first and/or second highest rated television station in average all-day ratings across 116 of such markets that were measured by Nielsen in 2025. Our additional media properties include video production companies Raycom Sports, Tupelo Media Group, and PowerNation Studios, and studio production facilities Assembly Atlanta and Third Rail Studios.

About KMOV:

If you are creative, smart, inquisitive, organized, and passionate -- we have a great job waiting for you at KMOV in St. Louis! KMOV is the most-watched television/digital news operation in Missouri and Southern Illinois, with nationally-recognized and award-winning news, weather, and investigative content. Winner of the national Edward R. Murrow award in 2023 for Best Newscast, KMOV resides in a new state-of-the-art facility in the suburbs of St. Louis. KMOV is one of the top CBS affiliates in the country, a leader in Market #24, and known for its award-winning news and weather coverage, numerous community service projects, and effective broadcast and digital marketing solutions.

Job Summary/Description:

KMOV-TV (First Alert 4) is looking for an Executive Producer who aligns with the News Director’s vision for content and station brand—and who can build must-watch newscasts that are relevant to the lives of viewers in the St. Louis market. This is a leadership role for a creative, decisive newsroom professional who thrives in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

What You’ll Do:
• Lead newscast execution with a focus on strong content, storytelling, pacing, and production value
• Serve as a brand ambassador for First Alert 4, ensuring daily alignment with station voice, tone, and priorities
• Create shows that are clear, concise, and direct—built for viewer impact, not just stacking elements
• Elevate storytelling by bringing curiosity about the community into daily editorial decisions

Drive a digital-first mindset by collaborating with the Digital Director on:
o Strategic coverage planning
o Push alert strategy that grows audience and directs viewers to our platforms

Foster a strong newsroom environment by:
o Leading with consistency and professionalism
o Managing difficult conversations effectively while maintaining a positive culture

What Success Looks Like:
• Newscasts feel urgent, relevant, and uniquely St. Louis
• Your team executes with confidence and clarity under a deadline
• You consistently produce content that strengthens the First Alert 4 brand
• Viewers feel your shows are can’t-miss television (not routine television)

Why KMOV / First Alert 4:

• In this role, you’ll join a team that is competitive, motivated, and focused on winning. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the product and the culture in a meaningful leadership role

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of producing experience (news)
• Preferred: at least 2 years in a management/leadership capacity

 Demonstrated ability to:
o Lead and coach producers and newsroom teammates
o Handle high-pressure deadlines with strong editorial judgment
o Communicate clearly and respectfully—especially in challenging moments
• Must be flexible and willing to work the hours required to win in a competitive environment
